This Maple Bacon is glazed and baked to perfection, enjoy it as a snack or as an addition to a meal. You can even try cooking the bacon until it’s flexible but not crispy and use it to wrap around a steak. Save the collected maple and bacon-flavored drippings to replace other fats for flavorful sautéed meat or vegetables. Or add the drippings to your favorite baked good.
Maple Bacon is a homerun for those who are more than happy to have their bacon mingle with the pools of maple syrup on a plate of pancakes, enjoyed by those sweet and savory lovers.
ingredients for bacon
- 10-12 strips of Bacon
- 4 Tbps of Brown Sugar
- 3 Tbps of Maple Syrup
Maple Syrup – check the ingredients to confirm that it’s made of 100% pure maple syrup, not maple “flavor” or high-fructose corn syrup. Sometimes there might be a mix, but if you really want to experience the good stuff, it’s got to be all syrup and nothing else.

bbq bakers tips and tricks
- Please don’t pour bacon grease down the drain, as it cools, it will solidify and clog up your plumbing. I am sure many of us growing up remember the jar of bacon grease kept under the sink, that still works. Try letting it cool and then save the drippings or throw them in the trash.
- Many of us cook bacon in a skillet on the stove. To avoid messy cleanup try making them in the oven, my directions are fool proof, especially if you are making a large amount. A large cookie sheet can fit plenty of strips of bacon, and they will get nice and crisp without having to flip.
Maple Bacon is a perfect addition to your breakfast menu. Enjoy it as a side or in your favorite dish. Don’t wait for christmas morning be sure to head to the kitchen today!
